A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to hold a puppy and determines pick order. If the puppy is not available due to health or wrong gender, or color the deposit will be refunded. If the buyer decides to change their mind in regard to the purchase of the puppy once the seller receives the deposit, the deposit will be forfeited by the buyer. All pups are sold with limited registration unless otherwise arranged between the buyer and seller.

Holding Agreement:

A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required to hold a puppy and determines pick order. The seller assigns the buyer the guarantee that the dog will not be sold to any party other than the buyer as long as the buyer adheres to the “Picking up your Puppy” guideline”. The $250 deposit is refundable, if, and only if your sex and color is not available and will be applied to the purchase price of the puppy when the buyer assumes physical possession of the assigned puppy.  Deposits will be accepted via personal check, money order, Venmo or PayPal. The balance is due in full before the puppy is released to their new owner. All puppies are sold with limited registration unless otherwise arranged between the buyer and seller.

 

Health:

This puppy is current on all vaccinations and dewormings which are detailed in the health record.

This puppy is guaranteed to be in good health, to the best of the seller’s knowledge. If he/she wishes, the buyer has 72 hours, from the date of ownership in which to have the puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM THAT CANNOT BE RECTIFIED, you may return the puppy to us, at your expense, on the day following the vet exam, along with a veterinarian’s statement stating the problem. You will receive a full refund of the purchase price of the pup. This does not include umbilical Hernias, also referred to as “outie” belly buttons, or the presence of parasites and does not apply to a health problem resulting from an injury or accident due to your negligence. All medical expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer. The breeder is in no way responsible for any vet bills incurred after the puppy leaves the care of Luke’s Labrador Retrievers.

 

Viral, bacterial colds or infections such as Coccidia or Giardia (bloody stools) are a form of worms which are easily treated and are not covered in the health guarantee as they are natural things puppies can pick up. Puppies are naturally at risk for coccidia or giardia or worms which is often brought on by the stress of a new home, new food, new people, or just a change in environment.

 

Picking Up Your Puppy:

Your assigned puppy must be picked up as arranged with the seller. This is normally the weekend between the 7th and 8th week, depending on the birth date.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS):

 

Early Neurological Stimulation has been performed on the puppies in order to give the dog a superior advantage. Five benefits that have been observed in canines that were exposed to ENS are:

**24-month Hip Guarantee against genetic severe crippling hip dysplasia:

Limited or Full AKC Registration Puppy:  the following applies:

  • Provided this puppy is kept on Life’s Abundance Puppy/Dog food for the first 24 months, this dog will be guaranteed against genetic moderate or severe hip dysplasia, and retinal eye disease until it is 24 months old.

  • The OFA is the sole and only judge in determining hip dysplasia. A CERF certified veterinarian must confirm any hereditary eye defects.

  • The original buyer of the dog has the right to a replacement puppy from the next available and comparable litter considering the following criteria has been met:

    • The original buyer must own the puppy.

    • The puppy must not have sired or whelped a litter.

  • The puppy must not have been overfed or overweight for its bone structure.

  • No evidence that the puppy has been overstressed or exercised during the important developmental period of its life.

  • No signs of abuse, neglect, or injuries that could be the cause of such dysplasia.

  • Buyer must show veterinary statement of diagnosis of hip dysplasia by the OFA or retinal atrophy (progressive) by CERF, along with a copy of the x-rays or vision exam results prior to 24 months old.

  • If surgery rather than euthanasia is chosen, we require a spay or neuter receipt stating the dog’s name, description and microchip number (if applicable).

  • Buyer must have fed this dog the Life’s Abundance Puppy/Dog food for the first 24 months.

We hope that you will enjoy your puppy for years to come. We have taken great steps to ensure that your new puppy is healthy by feeding a premium puppy food, Life’s Abundance Large Breed puppy food. It is a holistic dog food with no wheat, corn, soy, or by-products. We require that you continue with Life’s Abundance Large Breed Puppy/Dog food until the puppy/dog is 24 months old.  They should remain Life’s Abundance Large Breed puppy food for the first 12 months of age. You must order from the link above or by calling the phone number and providing our rep ID in order for us to be notified that your puppy is receiving the proper nutrition. At any time, your pet is removed from the Life’s Abundance Puppy/Dog food before the age of 24 months, the 24-month Hip Guarantee against genetic moderate or severe hip dysplasia and retinal eye disease becomes VOID without exceptions.

By providing the dog with quality food and supplements, we hope to reduce the chance of these potential weaknesses from hindering their quality of life should this ever occur.

 

Buyer acknowledges and affirms that the Breeder has recommended, for the benefit of the puppy, Life’s Abundance Dog Food and Supplements. However, the use of these products is merely a recommendation of the Breeder, not a guarantee of their effectiveness or efficiency.

  • The buyer(s) shall provide proper nutrition, vet care, shelter, and exercise. The pup shall be socialized properly after all immunizations are given, to include other people outside the family, other dogs, and strange places. Obedience classes are recommended before the pup is 1 year old.

 

  • Breeder is not responsible for any vet bills made after the puppy/dog leaves Luke’s Labrador Retrievers care. Nor shall Luke’s Labrador Retrievers be responsible for the death or injury of said puppy/do due to negligence or carelessness of the Buyer.

 

  • Breeder has the right to, at any time; decide to stop breeding Labrador Retrievers. In this case, no replacement puppies shall be given, and this contract is null and void.

 

  • Breeder makes no guarantees regarding the loss of the puppy due to accidental death, theft, sickness due to lack of vaccinations, etc. or any other loss beyond the Breeder’s control except as stated above.

 

  • Breeder will not refund money in whole or part for any reason other than stated in the guarantee.

 

  • Buyer also certifies, by signing this agreement that he/she is not acting as an agent in this purchase; that the Buyer will not resell this puppy at any time to a puppy mill, commercial breeder, pet store, or medical research facility.

 

I acknowledge that this is a legal & binding contract and have reviewed and agree to the terms listed above. The buyer will also maintain up to date vaccines, wormings, and to keep the puppy/dog in humane conditions and provide proper food, water, and shelter. Failure to follow the above contract completely will result in “A Breach of Contract” and shall make this contract null and void. This contract applied only to the original purchaser and is NOT transferable. When a deposit is received by Luke’s Labrador Retrievers the Purchaser automatically agrees to the terms of this contract, even if both the Breeder and the Purchaser have not yet signed the contract.
